ArcelorMittal Pecém is part of the ArcelorMittal Group, the world leader in steel production, with presence in more than 16 countries and around 160,000 employees and customers in more than 155 countries. There are more than 30 units in Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Costa Rica and Venezuela), with around 20 thousand employees and production of 15.5 million tons of crude steel per year – including Pecém. The unit in Pecém is the first integrated plant in the Northeast and the thirtieth installed in Brazil. It is located in an area of ​​571 hectares and is part of the Industrial and Port Complex of Pecém (CIPP), close to the Port of Pecém, fundamental factors to guarantee important competitiveness in the national and international market.

ArcelorMittal Pecém is one of the most modern plants in Brazil and the world, having started our production of steel slabs in June 2016. ArcelorMittal Pecém's installed capacity is currently 3 million tons of steel slabs per year.
